Born in the mid 1920's; educated at Allenby Public School, North Toronto Collegiate Institute and the University of Toronto. Graduated in Engineering Physics with the Degree of Bachelor of Applied Science in 1948.

During my early years I was very active in the Boy Scout movement. I started with Cubs and then Scouts becoming a King's Scout and then because of the World War 2, when there were no leaders available, I was asked to become and Acting Junior Assistant Cubmaster. I later became Cubmaster when I was of age to do so. Later I took over the Scout Troop as Scoutmaster. When my senior scouts graduated from the Troop they formed a Rover Crew and they asked me to become their Rover Leader which I did. Later on I became District Scoutmaster and then District Commisssioner reporting directly to the Metropolitan Toronto Commisssioner.

I was invited to join the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta in 1944 The Fraternity became a major influence in my life. It was there where I met many friends who have remained close to me ever since.

Married in 1956 to my bride Dorothy and we were blessed with six children. Three boys and three girls. This is what we both wanted and we were so pleased to arrive at that result. They are Tom, Barbara, Jim, John, Margaret and Nancy.

Tom married Joanne and now has two children; Cameron and Matthew aged 7 and 4. They are living in Huntsville, Ontario. .

Barbara and Paul are living in Enniskillen near Bowmanville, Ontario.  They are the proud parents of Victoria who was born on February 11, 2000.

Jim married Shelley and now have two children; Kristen and Daniel aged 8 and 4.

John is not married and is living in his own condominium in Whitby, Ontario.

Margaret and Vijay are married and living in Mississauga, Ontario.  They are the proud parents of Jared who was born on February 24, 2000

Nancy and Gary are married and living in Fergus, Ontario.  They are the proud parents of Lela who was born on April 7, 1999.

My children's mother passed away in July of 1995 and this was a sudden shock to them. However their mother was very proud of them and passed away knowing that they were following in her footsteps.

Tom is employed with the Ministry of Transportation of the Province of Ontario as Area Construction Engineer and is responsible for the area from Severn River north. Joanne has her own Investment firm and is working for Stenning & Associates.

Barbara is employed with Tomauri Inc. a computer supply company as Director of Operations responsible for the day to day on going work of the company. Paul is Acting Captain of the Clarington Fire Department.

Jim is working under contract with CanPar, the Courier firm located in Mississauga. He is working in their computer function. In addition, he has his own Consulting Company

Shelley is a Systems Consultant with the Toronto Dominion Bank and is responsible for several different systems applications within the bank.

John works for the City of Toronto Parks and Recreation Department as a skating instructor and a Community Centre Receptionist.

Margaret teaches math at York Memorial Collegiate and Vijay is
Controller at TransportAction Lease Systems Inc. in Toronto.

Nancy is a Grade 1 Teacher at Jean Little Public School; in Guelph, Ontario.   Gary is a Contract Supervisor employed with ITT in Guelph, Ontario.
