My ear was operated on in Sunnybrook Hospital on April 18, 2000
The operation performed was a PORP. A PORP is a Partial Ossicular Replacement Prosthesis which involves the placing of a hyroxyepetite (an artificial bone ) between the ear drum and the stapes. The operation was successful and I now have a lot better hearing in my left ear.
